On September 22nd, we got to meet our newest addition to our family, Thomas. I barely remember taking these photos of him in the hospital, but I'm so glad I did. Such a sweet time in life getting to meet your child for the first time. We are blessed!
Last week my friend Paige Jones and I decided to get out in the cold and do some city exploring. Paige is always up for an adventure and she makes exploring so fun. Despite the freezing wind, we were able to get some pretty shots of the city and work on our double exposure skills. You can see her favorites on her blog here. It only took me six trips to the big apple to finally see it from above. Watching the city change colors from the Empire State Building was totally worth surviving the tourist trap. I highly recommend doing this (if you haven't already) next time you are in the city. Just be sure to get the fast pass so you don't have to wait in any lines and miss the sunset :)
During our quick trip to New York City two weekends ago, we did a ton of sightseeing by foot and by bike. We rented the Citi Bikes in Williamsburg and biked all the way to the Brooklyn Bridge. After a few hills, and realizing that we are not in speed biking shape, we decided that we would just leave the bikes at the bridge hub and walk the bridge. At this point of the trip, our feet were killing us, but we mustered up some strength to walk the 1.2 mile bridge. It was a gorgeous day and it was so fun to see so many people out and about walking from Brooklyn to Manhattan. I am so thankful that we ended our trip this way. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to the city and take in the beauty of the skyline and bridge architecture. Below are a few frames I snapped along the walk. Hope you enjoy!
Hope you are having a great weekend! I got to spend some much needed time this weekend with my sister and new brother-in-law. The newlyweds have lots to celebrate with their recent wedding, new home, and adorable new puppy! Lady is the most precious Cavalier King Charles I have ever seen and I am so in love with her! Welcome to the family, Lady. I know a certain fur baby who is happy to have a new friend :)
